This is queen Maedhbh from Burlington road one of the upmarket parts of Dublin City Centre. She can be found throughout the Ulster Cycle of our legends and is best in the Cattle Raid of Cooley. The statue presents here holding the head of the Brown Bull (not consistant with the myth but symbolising her dominance over the kings as a sovereign goddess) A Raven (showing her a favorite of the Morrigan as a battle deity) and A long spear (showing her relationship to the leinster people from a suggested etymology for the early tribal name of the leinster people the Lagin - the long spear men)

The Tain Mural in Dublin City Setanta a boy fighting the Smiths Culainns prize guard dog. The king forgot he invited Setanta to the feast and told the smith he could let his dog loose to guard them during the feast time. Setanta kills the dog which leaves the smiths land unprotected so Setanta offers to work in the Dogs place earning the name Cu Chulainn.
